Taiwan Must be Acknowledged

For all of the press describing the great efforts in South Korea and Singapore, Taiwan remains the best example for fighting the current pandemic:

Not only were they one of the first countries exposed, Taiwan also took action before any admission of human to human transmissions:

The “World” Health Organization (WHO), however, denies even the existence of the best performing nation:

Why does this matter? Taiwan was put at risk after being ignored by the WHO, and could have contributed valuable insights if they were given half the consideration of other countries. In other words, the WHO must represent the entire world if it is to effectively support global health.

There are some simple ways you can help:

  • Sign and share the change.org petition to include Taiwan
  • Look for a petition to your government
  • Share videos about Taiwan’s success and/or challenges
  • Research Taiwan

If anyone has other ideas, please let me know.
